Growing up, everything was a competition to Micah. Any kind of sport, board game, video game, academics, you name it, he did it and always wanted to win. In high school he excelled in every sport he played, and went on to play collegiate football at Wheaton College in Chicago.
Through his experience as a starting cornerback and punt returner he learned to hone his skills and to perform well under pressure. More importantly, from his coaches and his peers he learned about how being a good sporting competitor carries over to everyday life. He realized that the dedication, perseverance, and will to succeed, that he had employed to have success on the field of competition, were the very things that would make him a successful businessman, a loyal friend, and eventually, a good father.
Micah has an adventurous spirit and it is his love for travel and adventure that landed him in Hawaii after years of traveling abroad. However, before ending up in Hawaii his travels took him to England, France, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Germany and the Czech Republic. He has also spent time on a mission trip to Senegal Africa and worked after college in Nepal.
His desire for knowledge and understanding has made him quite the world traveler and he has seen how this trait translates very well into his Real Estate profession. He seeks to understand his client’s needs and goals, which enables him to provide them with exactly the service they are looking for. Getting to know his clients and their needs is his first priority. His emphasis on knowledge and understanding has also led him to spend much of his time pursuing realtor designations and certifications. He currently has his Seller’s Representation Specialist (SRS) designation and is working towards his Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI).
Micah has been a licensed Realtor for six years, and has spent five of those years with LUVA Real Estate. With over 5 million in closed sales during his first calendar year and a nomination for West Hawaii Association of Realtors Rookie of the Year, he is thankful for the role he has been able to play in achieving his client’s goals. He was drawn to Real Estate because he viewed it as a career that would allow the freedom to live the kind of spontaneous life he was looking for, while providing a meaningful service. His favorite part of being a Realtor is problem solving, he loves that the challenges are new with every day and looks forward to guiding his client’s through unique situations that may arise in a transaction.
