Kimi Correa, Broker in Charge at the LUVA Oahu office joined LUVA in 2018 as a self-confessed over-achiever (a label friends and family confirm). Kimi grew up in South Florida, working her way up the ladder at the local supermarket rather than lounging at the beach after school like most of her friends. When love and the promise of surf called, she headed cross-country, then across an ocean to find paradise. While the surf never caught on – perhaps because her first outing ended in a wipe-out that left her kissing coral – her heart immediately put down roots in the trade winds, culture and lifestyle that Hawaii embodies. When raising her young son, Kimi stepped out of the 9-5 world,
preferring instead to found and run a successful daycare business. Not one that followed the status quo, in true Kimi fashion, a daycare that offered a full curriculum, field trips, and standards of excellence. When friends and family turned to her to care for their personal homes, she was eager to help. Kimi was licensed in 2010 and jumped into property management services. About one year into property management, Kimi was approached to help someone sell their home. Through this experience, Kimi found that she truly loves connecting people with the right home, and everything about the process. Kimi remembers feeling so honored to be a part of this huge step in her client’s lives. She has continued to love all of the journeys and new beginnings she has been honored to be a part of since that first sale.
Kimi does not believe in “cookie cutter” deals. She approaches each client where they are, and is sure to engage state of art marketing tools, social media, and give attention to the tiniest details to ensure her client’s experience is seamless. She’s a member of the National Association of Realtors (NAR), the Hawaii Association of Realtors (HAR), The Honolulu Board of Realtors (HBR), and Realtors Association of Maui (RAM). She also holds accreditation as a Buyer’s Representative (ABR), Military Relocation Professional (MRP), a Seller Representative Specialist (SRS) and Certified Residential Specialist (CRS). Kimi’s mantra: “I believe in God, telling the truth, hard work, and doing what’s right.”
When Kimi is not busy working with clients helping them find and sell real estate, she loves going out on her Pontoon boat with friends and family. She also very much enjoys plants, although she never had a green thumb in her younger years, she is now a plant person and loves to garden. One of her hobbies is helping the Monarch Butterfly population. Kimi plants specific flowers that will attract Monarch butterflies to stay and make their home. She then gets to witness the amazing transformation from caterpillar to butterfly. Kimi has been doing this for years and now has quite a butterfly community returning to her home to lay their eggs. Apparently Kimi has a true gift of not only finding humans homes, but also butterflies.
