She lives in Kaneohe with her husband, a Kailua native, and their two energetic sons. She remains engaged in the community by serving as a board member of both the Deckhands at the Kaneohe Yacht Club and Kailua Methodist Preschool. She enjoys offering her support as a substitute teacher at many schools on the windward side.
